Growing up, I wasn't taught much about the Fascists. I didn't learn, for example that they were named after the Italian word for a bundle of sticks. You may remember the fable about the bundle of sticks that couldn't be broken unless each was separately taken out and snapped. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I remember that as a reference to Unions. Maybe it's on a Union Seal.

In any case, probably the most important thing I wasn't taught, but should have been, is that fascists are socialists. We really need to come up with new word for socialists in that case, because these people don't want the egalitarian utopia claimed by real socialists. They want a 2-class structure. The ruling class - them - and then everybody else.

That's why it is particularly chilling to hear and see Obama execute his presidency. He holds himself like Il Duce. He is pleased with his own words, like Il Duce. His promises are way over the top like Il Duce. He seeks alliances with the worst and most corrupt people both inside his government and foreign - like Il Duce.

And, he plans to run the government like a fascist. Oppression, repressive taxation, ridicule of contrary views, making pacts with criminals (Guantanamo and his cabinet). Promises that the economy will recover and the trains will run on time. Hollow promises that the government is the solution and the peple merely have to accept the government's largess.

But, like Mussolini, Obama will be unable to deliver on his promises. That's because you can't lead by strength of will alone. Leadership also requires strength of character.

Obama's Cowardice

It takes courage to admit you are wrong. It takes courage to do the right thing, even if doing so gives you no advantage. Ronald Reagan once commented on how much you could accomplish if you didn't care who got the credit for it.

Those truths make it difficult for reasonable people to understand why Barack Obama refuses to do the one or two things that could turn the nation's economic problems around IN A MATTER OF HOURS. Instead, he is content - like Bill Clinton suggests - to wait even two years for a turnaround. To promote that kind of misery is downright un-American.

History shows that tax cuts stimulate the economy and greatly increase the amount of revenue coming in to the Treasury. It works every time it's tried. On the contrary, every time socialism and communism is tried, it fails.

Giving Obama the benefit of the doubt, that is allowing that he isn't promoting the present disaster to increase his and his party's grasp on power, one must conclude that he's refusing to do the right thing - the proven thing - the only cost efficient and effective thing, because it's a conservative idea and when it works the GOP will say, "I told you so."

That's cowardice. And it is such abject cowardice it chills one to consider how he will handle a threat to homeland security.

Obama's Undoing

Dear Leader has already made the critical mistake that will cost him a second term. It's one he won't be able to talk his way out of because it will develop slowly, and surround him with a wall of facts that he will not be able to climb.

It's a trap that Democrats have fallen into for decades. Inept foreign policy.

Obama has half-committed to Afganistan. That will just result in the slaughter of our military as we have seen under Democrat administrations since Viet Nam. There'll be another weak response, more will die, and then we'll declare victory and retreat. Typical Democrat incompetence when playing Ultimate Diplomacy. Bin Laden will probably not be found. That'll be embarrassing because it'll cause Obama's supporters to remember all the smarmy things he said about Bush. We will most certainly be attacked by an al Qaeda cell or some Islamists, and we'll no doubt counter, if at all, with a feckless response.

The Administration's attempts to make nice with the Islamic world will be interpreted as weak energy. Like Cesar Millan points out, when an aggressive dog senses another's fear, it attacks regardless of the victim's size or breed. It's just in their nature to do so.

Some of the world is swinging back to conservatism, having tired of the squalor and death that socialism trails like snail slime. Those countries have little in common with us now, yet they were once, just recently, formidable allies. Countries like Israel and Canada, for example, see us now as an impediment to their economies and a threat to their security.

Obama's domestic agenda will soon be overwhelmed by International matters - it's inevitable. His decisions have already guaranteed any goals he might have championed will rapidly reach a state of entropy. And our country will be very vulnerable to significant attack. If Obama is as much an amateur as many suspect, there may be as much reason to suspect turmoil from within, as from without.

The question is, is that something we should wish for?

Just Say No

Ayn Rand predicted this day in her book Atlas Shrugged. In that epic novel, she predicts tomorrow, too. Tomorrow, she said, will be marked by the refusal of the producers to accept the edicts of the looters. This concludes the book, following a protracted period of government intervention on business, personal freedom, property ownership and just about every other intrusion imaginable. In the end, the Constitution is in tatters. This is where we are headed and at a rate that could make Ayn Rand's tomorrow, our tomorrow.

This impending doom is not what might happen. It is happening. Our Banks have been nationalized and the nation's flagship industry - automobiles - is next. Our property rights are gone. We have no First, Second, Fourth, Fifth or Tenth amendments. You are not free to say whatever you want whenever you want. You are not free to bear arms. You are not free from warrantless search and seizure. In fact, if you should violate those most holy of laws - the fishing regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - a pistol-packing fish warden can and will confiscate your rod, reel and tackle on the spot. And States’ Rights - sure. Like the rights states have to prevent an invasion from Mexico.

It’s no wonder thinking Americans have finally said, “enough is enough.”

Of course we must refuse to support the looters and their Masters in the White House and Congress. It is the only thinkable alternative to a violent rebellion against the rise of Communism within the Democrat Party, as satisfying and as inevitable as that rebellion may seem. It’s necessary to consider and reconsider, whenever such a sobering subject is broached, just how sure we are that what we are experiencing is as critical as our gut tells us it is.

The evidence is clear.

This viral email I received just this morning, while a little loose with facts and maybe just a tad racist, represents how, increasingly, we Joe The Plumber Americans are reaching our limit.

1, The American people elect a black president with a total of 42 days experience as a U S Senator from the most politically corrupt state in America whose governor is ousted from office. The President’s first official act is to close Gitmo and make sure Terrorists civil rights are not violated.
2, The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists.
3, The CIA Boss, Leon Panetta with absolutely no experience, has a daughter Linda we find out, that is a true radical anti-American activist who is a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere.
4. We got the most corrupt female in America as Secretary of State; bought and paid for.
5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who files his own taxes.
6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges.
7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges.
8. A Labor Sec’y nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct.
9. A Sec’y HHS nominee who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes.
And that’s just the first two weeks . . . but who’s counting.
America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges ~ Barrack, Nancy, and Harry ~ and they are still trying to define stimulus.
Stimulus is where the government gives a smidgen of your tax dollars back to you making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated] that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV and go home and watch Telemundo!
